MySpotilol 0.7.0
Pre-release
Pre-release
Test release for a real crossfade.
Changed
- Crossfade now overlaps: the end of a song fades out while the next one already plays and fades in, as in Spotify's apps. The Web Player has only one player, so the app builds a reserve while a song plays: Spotify plays it 3–12 % faster, the app's audio path slows it back down (tempo and pitch unchanged), and the song's last seconds wait in the reserve until the next one starts.
- What is heard lags Spotify by up to the crossfade length; the position, the slider and the lyrics follow what is heard. Pause and play act at once.
- Skips and seeks change at once, without a crossfade. After a jump close to the end of a song, the reserve may not reach the full length.
- Crossfade uses the same audio path as the volume boost; if no sound comes through it on a phone, both stay off until the app restarts.
Diagnostics
page xfade: …lines:build(speed and target per song),overlap(seconds crossfaded),flush(reserve dropped by a skip or seek),unsupported(why a song is not crossfaded).
