mad-eye — your Claude subscription usage as an animated menubar eye. 👁 The Eye gets more agitated as you approach a limit and shatters at 100%.

  • 🎨 A proper app icon (was the default Tauri logo).
  • 📝 Corrected install instructions for the unsigned build.

Install

brew install --cask kvnwolf/tap/mad-eye && xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Applications/mad-eye.app

mad-eye isn't code-signed, so macOS Gatekeeper blocks it — the xattr clears the quarantine so it opens (Homebrew can't skip it). Prefer clicking? Install with just the brew half, then approve it under System Settings → Privacy & Security → Open Anyway. Universal DMG (Apple Silicon + Intel) is attached below.

Requirements

Needs Claude Code installed and logged in — mad-eye reads your usage from the same Keychain credentials (read-only). See the README for the privacy details.
