Unreal Revived 0.9.0
Unreal Revived 0.9.0
Released 25 September 2026. Download installer and checksum.
Version 0.9.0 extends seated VR with standing play, automatic HUD positioning,
recentering and turning improvements,
runtime render-quality settings, and controller and menu fixes.
Highlights
- Seated and standing VR support. Stand, step or turn physically while the HUD
automatically follows larger movements. Recenter preserves changes in head
height during the session. No seated/standing mode switch is required. - VR turning modes. Smooth, Instant Snap or Smooth Snap, with snap angles from
15° to 90°. Smooth remains default; snap starts at 30°. - Automatic HUD repositioning. Stable during small seated movements, with gentle
automatic recovery when you stand, step or turn farther away. No mode selection
needed. Menus stay stationary while you interact. - World and HUD horizon lock. Recenter while looking up, down or sideways without storing
head tilt in the world or HUD. Natural headset orientation remains tracked. - Accidental mouse movement fix in VR. Mouse movement no longer adds unwanted
camera pitch during normal first-person VR play. Head tracking and yaw turning
remain available. - VR render-quality presets. Switch between 75%, 100%, 125% and 150% of the runtime's
recommended per-eye dimensions without restarting. Balanced 100% is default. - Gaze-directed swimming and flying. Gaze-directed vertical movement complements
the existing horizontal movement on foot. - Stereo VR vignette. Shared head-relative fading across both eyes,
stronger visible coverage and a single slider. Desktop appearance is preserved. - OpenXR hardware compatibility. Additional controller profiles and runtime-driven
per-eye sizing. - Controller and music-menu navigation. More consistent controller Back behavior and
improved music-player navigation and playback controls. - Rendering statistics and display labels. VR-aware F11 statistics and clearer
desktop resolution labels. - VR bloom correction. Corrected bloom behavior in VR.

Installing and updating
The installer is UnrealRevived-Setup-0.9.0.exe. It requires an original
Unreal Gold installation and creates a separate Unreal Revived installation.
Use Unreal Revived for desktop or Unreal Revived VR for VR.
When updating through uninstall/reinstall, retain saves when prompted. Settings
start fresh; uninstall backs up settings and weapon calibration to a timestamped
Unreal Revived Backup folder in Documents. Reapply your preferences or restore
chosen profile files yourself. Existing weapon calibration encountered during
deployment is preserved; fresh installs receive the accepted defaults.

Unreal Revived 0.8.0
Unreal Revived 0.8.0
Version 0.8.0 with 2 VR aiming methods, Head Gaze and Motion Controllers aiming, calibrated VR
weapons, optional per-weapon adjustments, and easier key bindings.
What's new
- Motion Controllers aiming: select Head gaze or Motion controllers in Preferences
VR > Aiming Method. Touch buttons and sticks work in either aiming mode.
- Fourteen VR calibrated weapons: original-game and Return to Na Pali weapons
share physical sizing across modes, with separately tuned positions and more
accurate muzzle/shot alignment, including special primary and alternate fire. - Handedness and HUD fixes: corrected left/center gaze placement, animated
RazorJack alternate-fire alignment, and weapon coverage over the VR HUD. - Simpler bindings: up to three inputs per action, oldest-input replacement
when full, persistent order and consistent clear/cancel controls. - Updated defaults: Q/E/F select and use inventory; Home opens the command
line and Page Up opens team chat. Existing saved bindings are preserved.
See the full changelog for details.
Optional weapon configuration
No configuration is required. The installer includes all 14 calibrated profiles
in System64/ModernVRWeapons.ini inside your Unreal Revived installation
(normally C:\Games\Unreal Revived).
To customize a weapon, edit its existing Profiles= line:
| Value | What it changes |
|---|---|
Scale |
Weapon size in both aiming modes; 1.0 means 100% of the physical baseline. |
GazeOffsetCM |
Position while aiming with your head. |
MotionOffsetCM |
Position relative to the aiming controller. |
Offsets are centimetres: X is forward, Y is right and Z is up. Gaze Y is
mirrored for left-handed placement and ignored for center; motion offsets are
not automatically mirrored. Save your edit and enter ReloadVRWeapons in the
game console. Both modes update without restarting or reloading the map.
This command does not write to the file. More detail: weapon tuning.
Installation and existing settings
Run UnrealRevived-Setup-0.8.0.exe and select your original Unreal Gold
installation. Setup creates a separate Unreal Revived installation and needs
your original game files. Launch Unreal Revived for desktop or
Unreal Revived VR for VR.
For an existing installation, Setup uses the supported uninstall/reinstall
flow. Retain your saves when prompted. Uninstall backs up settings, including
weapon calibration, to a timestamped Unreal Revived Backup folder in
Documents. Reinstall does not automatically restore those settings: restore
your chosen profile files from that folder after installation if you want to
keep them. When installation encounters an existing weapon configuration, it
leaves it untouched; fresh installations receive the supplied defaults.
Unreal Revived 0.7.0
Unreal Revived 0.7.0
Version 0.7.0 gives you more control over your height and your sense of scale
inside Unreal, adds protection when you lean into solid scenery, and fixes the
build and installation path for bundled mutators.
Adjust your height
Open Preferences > VR > Height Offset to raise or lower your viewpoint.
It helps you find a comfortable standing viewpoint while playing seated.
The range is -0.75 to +1.50 meters; 0.00 m keeps the original height.
Make maps feel larger or smaller
Use Preferences > VR > World Size when the environment feels too cramped
or too large. Higher values make you feel smaller in a larger world; lower
values make you feel bigger in a smaller world.
Try 150% for a map that feels small, or 75% for one that feels too big.
The full range is 40-250%, with 100% as the original scale. Your
viewpoint height, depth perception and displayed weapon size adjust together.
Height Offset lets you fine-tune your viewpoint afterward.
Both sliders apply immediately, remember your choices and offer reset buttons.
Lean into a wall without seeing through it
Your view now gradually fades to black as your head approaches or enters solid
scenery, then returns when you move clear. Head tracking continues, and the
HUD/menu remains visible so you can recover or change your settings.
Water and non-solid areas that activate game events do not trigger the fade.
Bundled mutators now install and activate correctly
Bundled mutators are now built, installed and registered so they appear in the
New Game mutator list and can join the game when selected. Old Weapons
is included as the first bundled mutator and was used to verify the full path
from installation to activation. Games started with Use Mutators disabled
continue to use the normal game rules.
Reduce the cost of character shadows
The Realtime Ultra Res pawn-shadow setting has been removed because it
caused frame drops and frame-time spikes. Opening Video preferences changes an
existing Ultra selection to Realtime High Res, retaining detailed character
shadows without the unstable Ultra setting.
Installation
Run UnrealRevived-Setup-0.7.0.exe and select your original Unreal Gold
installation. Setup creates a separate Unreal Revived installation; you still
need the original game files.
Use Unreal Revived for desktop play or Unreal Revived VR for a headset.
Each mode remembers its own display settings. VR requires a configured OpenXR
runtime and a connected headset.
For an existing installation, use the supported uninstall/reinstall flow.
Choose to retain your saves; the uninstaller also backs up your settings.
Unreal Revived 0.6.1
Unreal Revived 0.6.1
