[1.1.0] - 2026-05-07

Added

  • Opt-in anonymous telemetry - Nestview can send a small daily ping to help track active install counts. Off by default, prompted via a dismissible banner after setup completes.
  • Install ID generation - a random UUID generated once on first run, stored locally, never transmitted unless analytics is opted in
  • Analytics settings toggle with tooltip disclosure in the Settings UI
  • Daily background ping task - fires on startup and once per day if opted in; sends install ID, version, architecture, and timestamp. Nothing else.

Changed

  • Internal container port aligned to 8484 - previously the internal port was 8080 while the host default was 8484, creating an asymmetric mapping. All references updated to 8484:8484.
  • NESTVIEW_PORT environment variable removed - port is now hardcoded to 8484 and not user-configurable

Breaking Changes

  • Port mapping: If you have a custom port mapping (e.g. 8080:8484) or reference NESTVIEW_PORT in your compose file, update your mapping to 8484:8484 and remove NESTVIEW_PORT before upgrading. Users with the default mapping are unaffected.
  • Unraid Users: The template has been updated to reflect this change, so you may need to remove and reinstall the app from the CA store to get the correct port mapping if it does not allow you to manually change the port. As long as you are using path-based persistent volumes vs Docker volumes, your configuration should still be in place after reinstall.
