RipFoundry for Windows 1.1.0

The first public Windows release of RipFoundry provides a guided desktop interface for ripping DVDs locally, preserving the original MakeMKV output, creating optional playback-friendly versions, validating completed media, and safely transferring it to a Jellyfin library.

Downloads

  • RipFoundry-Windows-v1.1.0-portable.zip — recommended for most users. Extract the entire folder to a permanent location and run RipFoundry.exe. Python is not required.
  • RipFoundry-Windows-v1.1.0-project.zip — source code, documentation, artwork, and local build scripts for developers or users who prefer the Python version.
  • SHA256SUMS-v1.1.0.txt — SHA-256 checksums for both ZIP downloads.

Required media tools

The portable build includes RipFoundry itself, but media tools are installed separately:

Open Settings after the first launch. RipFoundry searches common installation locations and lets you locate each executable manually if needed.

Installation note

Version 1.1.0 is a portable release, not a traditional Windows installer. Keep the extracted folder in a permanent location and keep RipFoundry.exe beside its _internal folder. A Start menu installer and normal uninstaller are listed on the project roadmap for a possible future release.

Because this release is not code-signed, Windows may display a SmartScreen warning when the application is launched for the first time.
