Drift 1.0.0 — Chrome Web Store submission build

Drift 1.0.0 is prepared for its first Chrome Web Store submission. Highlighted passages appear before the article title and URL, with editable drafts, saved servers, optional tracking cleanup, copying, and right-click sharing.

This release adds store-ready icon sizing, the public homepage, updated welcome wording, and a complete upload kit. Chrome Web Store upload, review, and publication are not yet confirmed.

• drift-1.0.0.zip: upload this file as the extension package.
• drift-1.0.0-store-kit.zip: extract for five screenshots, both promotional tiles, the store icon, and ready-to-paste listing, privacy, and reviewer instructions. Do not upload this outer kit as the extension.

Validation: manifest/resource checks, 10 logic tests, 7 real-browser tests, accessibility checks, ZIP validation, and store image dimension/format checks passed locally. The store screenshots were captured from the packaged extension in an isolated profile.

Drift 0.1.2 — Developer preview

Drift prepares a Mastodon draft from the page you choose to share: highlighted passage first, then article title and URL. Edit the draft, choose your server, and continue to Mastodon to review and publish.

This is a developer preview. Chrome Web Store publication is pending developer verification and store review.

Install the preview

1. Download drift-0.1.2.zip below and extract it to a permanent folder.
2. Open chrome://extensions in Chrome and enable Developer mode.
3. Choose Load unpacked, then select the extracted folder containing manifest.json.
4. Add your Mastodon server and pin Drift from Chrome’s Extensions menu.

Includes the Rising quotes logo, saved servers, editable drafts, optional link cleanup, temporary draft recovery, right-click sharing, keyboard shortcut, and support links.

Validation: 10 logic tests and 7 browser tests passed, including the real toolbar action and accessibility checks. GitHub Actions verified the source on Linux. A signed-in handoff on your preferred Mastodon server remains a recommended manual check.
