Radio Operations Console v2.5.3
Added
- macOS support. Builds and runs natively on macOS — no platform-specific
code changes were needed, just the build/release plumbing. Release builds
now publish a.dmgalongside the existing Linux and Windows installers,
as a universal binary covering both Apple Silicon and Intel. See the
README's "Get it running" section for local build prerequisites. - Share your repeaters and nets. Export repeaters… (under the Repeaters
panel) and Export nets… (under the Nets tab) save them to a file to hand to
other operators, who bring them in with Import. An import shows what it
will add and only ever adds: anything already there is left as it is. A
net goes as text alone — its repeater's name and frequency, not a link — so
whoever imports it can link it to a repeater of their own. - Delete repeaters and nets for good. Once retired, a repeater or net can
be deleted from the retired list. Nets on a deleted repeater keep its name
and frequency as text. The History tab keeps showing the names of deleted
repeaters, nets, and places. - Show map from the Summary. The selected activity's Summary on the
Operations tab has the same Show map as the Check-ins tab, so the check-ins
can be seen on the map without switching tabs. - Correct a closed net without reopening it. Check-ins and contacts can
still be edited, placed on the map, and looked up, traffic marked handled,
and relayed messages marked passed, after the net has ended. Adding or
removing anything still needs Reopen. - Correcting a call sign offers the right station's details. Changing a
check-in's call sign in Edit looks up the new one and asks whether to use
its name and location in place of what was looked up for the wrong call.
Fixed
- Long traffic is no longer cut off in the Winlink ICS 309 and ICS 214.
Traffic longer than the form's line (90 characters on the 309, 100 on the
214) now runs on to the next line, as on a paper log, instead of being
shortened with "...", so traffic can be as long as it needs to be. - A station log's summary no longer shows when it started, ended, or how long
it has run, which mean little for a log kept open for days.
Download
See the assets below for your platform:
- Linux:
.deb(Debian/Ubuntu),.rpm(Fedora/RHEL), or.AppImage(runs on most distributions) - Windows:
.msior the.exe(NSIS) installer - macOS:
.dmg(one universal build, works on Apple Silicon and Intel)
Windows, Linux, and macOS builds come from the same source. Windows installers are not code-signed,
so Windows may warn ("Unknown publisher" / SmartScreen) before you can run one; macOS is not
notarized, so it may warn that the developer can't be verified (right-click the app and choose
Open to run it anyway). Neither is a sign of tampering, just the cost of an unsigned open-source
build.
