Added

  • A fuller SKYWARN summary. A SKYWARN net's summary, and its saved text,
now give the largest hail and strongest wind reported and how many reports
    came from each county.
  • Keep NWS alerts with a SKYWARN net. The Reports tab lists the alerts in
effect at the net and in your weather area, each once; tick the ones to
keep. They stay with the net, even after NWS drops them, and are listed in
its summary with their area and when they were in effect.
  • Take a report from the roster. On a SKYWARN net the roster's last
column is now Traffic & reports: each station's reports are listed beside
its traffic, and a Report button on every row opens the report form with
that station filled in and the report linked to that row. A row's traffic
not yet handled becomes the report's details. It stays open until you tick
Handled once the report is passed on, as with any traffic.
  • Each report is its own line on the roster and ICS 309. A report entered
on the Spotter Reports tab from a call sign logs a new check-in for that
station, at the time it's taken, with the report in brief as its traffic
    (open until you tick Handled once it's passed on);
a station not yet on the roster is looked up and placed on the map as
usual. To add a report to a check-in already there, use Report on its row.
  • One map pin per station per place. A station entered more than once is
one pin where it stayed put and a new pin where it moved, and the map
counts stations, not entries. Range checks still show every entry.

Changed

  • Dropdowns are the same height as the text boxes beside them, on every
system, so rows of fields line up. In forms, a short dropdown is at least
as wide as a short text box.
  • Traffic and report details wrap to a second line on the check-in
roster and the spotter reports list, instead of being cut off after one,
without making rows taller; longer text ends in "…", with the full text on
    hovering.
  • Update all stays put in Settings. The mile-marker roads' Update all is
on the same line as their name, and no longer moves when the road list or
    its information is opened.
  • Clearer Winlink buttons on the ICS 309 and 214: "Save file for Winlink
(Load Form 309 Data)" and "(Load ICS 214 Data)" name the Winlink button the
    file is for.

Removed

  • "Create linked report" under the check-in roster. It only noted in the
History that a report was made, without making one; Report on a SKYWARN
net's roster rows does it now.
  • The "Weather now" line on a SKYWARN net's Reports tab, to give the reports
more room. The alerts in effect are in the net's NWS alerts list, the
Weather tab has the conditions and radar, and the weather as the net starts
and ends is still recorded in its summary.

Download

See the assets below for your platform:

  • Linux: .deb (Debian/Ubuntu), .rpm (Fedora/RHEL), or .AppImage (runs on most distributions)
  • Windows: .msi or the .exe (NSIS) installer
  • macOS: .dmg (one universal build, works on Apple Silicon and Intel)

Windows, Linux, and macOS builds come from the same source. Windows installers are not code-signed,
so Windows may warn ("Unknown publisher" / SmartScreen) before you can run one; macOS is not
notarized, so it may warn that the developer can't be verified (right-click the app and choose
Open to run it anyway). Neither is a sign of tampering, just the cost of an unsigned open-source
build.
