What's new since v1.1.9

  • Fixed: a guest alone on a map (the host elsewhere) now sees the NPCs and story the way the team's world has them, and what it does there (kills, story steps) counts for the team. Pickups stay each player's own.
  • Fixed: after a party wipe, a boss fight (Darkbeast Paarl, Rom and others) starts over cleanly: no fog wall or boss bar left behind.
  • Fixed: a joining guest no longer gets a long row of "item received" popups for its own key items.
  • Fixed: the bloodstain marker on the compass and map points at where your echoes lie, not where you died.
  • Fixed: a teammate who fell into the void and got back up is visible again for the others.
  • Fixed: each player learns an NPC's gesture from their own talk (a guest no longer misses Eileen's or Alfred's gesture because the host already had it).
  • Fixed: turning frame generation off no longer crashes the game. The logs of the last 5 runs are kept for bug reports.
  • Fixed: a crash right after "Begin the hunt" reported on an AMD RX 580.
  • From upstream shadPS4: texture cache and shader fixes, less crackling sound on 4-6 core CPUs, better support for integrated GPUs, and online certificate checks that use Windows' own trusted certificates.
  • The first time you play, shaders are built again once (the shader cache changed), so the first few minutes can stutter.

Everyone, the host included, must update to v1.2.0.

Seamless co-op for Bloodborne on Bloodborne PC (the native Windows port).

No game files are included. You need your own Bloodborne 1.09 (a dumped game folder with the 1.09 update, or the PS4 .pkg files, which the included launcher installs).

Already installed? Just open Yharnam Together and press Update next to PLAY (or Check for updates there if it isn't shown yet). It installs the new version and opens again; saves, settings and mods are kept.

New players:

  1. Download YharnamTogether-v1.2.0-setup.exe and run it (it installs for your Windows user; keep "Create a desktop shortcut" ticked).
  2. Open Yharnam Together. It finds your game; fill in the Co-op card: your game folder, the host's IP and the enemies (How to connect explains Radmin VPN).
  3. The host presses Start server, then everyone presses PLAY. Windows asks once to let co-op through its firewall. Guests must reach the host's TCP ports 31315 and 20443 and UDP port 31314.
  4. Continue, Load Game or New Game opens the team screen: make a team of up to four (guests are ready on their own) and the leader begins the hunt.

The full setup guide, with pictures: https://bloodborne.seamlesscoop.dev/docs/install

Everyone in a team must use this same release. Co-op runs at 60 FPS; a higher frame rate (Unlocked or 90 FPS) is still in testing.

What's new since v1.1.7

  • Fixed: hosts on US, Asian or Japanese copies of the game, or with the Unlock Game Region ("local voice-over") patch on, no longer get "Failed to acquire Bloodborne server information".
  • The server's log now reaches user\log\shadnet.txt, and the launcher warns when the host's port 20443 doesn't answer.
  • The frame rate switch is gone: pick Unlocked or 90 FPS as the frame rate (Settings) and the launcher warns that above 60 FPS in co-op is still in testing. New installs start at 60 FPS.
  • A guest who loads in alone (before the host) now gets the team's time of day, so no characters show up that the team's world doesn't have yet.

Everyone, the host included, must update to v1.1.8.

What's new since v1.1.6

  • Still in testing: an unlocked frame rate in co-op is back. Turn on Unlocked frame rate in co-op (experimental) in Settings, Display & FPS, then pick Unlocked (or 90 FPS) as the frame rate above it. Co-op then runs up to 120 FPS (the 90 FPS choice up to 90). The game still sends its updates to your teammates as often as at 60 FPS. It is off by default; if your team sees enemies or players lag, turn it off.
  • Fixed from v1.1.5: a player in the 90 FPS mode whose PC dropped below 90 made the enemies lag for the whole team (that mode is a fixed game step). Online, the 90 FPS choice now follows real time, like Unlocked, capped at 90.

Everyone, the host included, must update to v1.1.7.

What's new since v1.1.5

  • The experimental unlocked frame rate in co-op from v1.1.5 is removed again: enemies lagged with it. The game is the same as in v1.1.4, and co-op always runs at 60 FPS.

Everyone, the host included, must update to v1.1.6.

What's new since v1.1.3

  • The Impurity rune (more HP while cooperating) now works in co-op. Everyone in a team who wears it, the host included, gets its HP bonus, and a guest keeps it after travelling.
  • Multiplayer fog walls are now off on every map, not only the one you're standing on. For example, the Forbidden Woods walls at the Cathedral Ward stairs no longer block a team.
  • Falling into the void (for example off a Forbidden Woods cliff) no longer leaves you invisible after you wake at the lamp. You and your teammates see you again right away.
  • A player who joins while the host is travelling between areas no longer vanishes for both of them, and the session no longer drops about a minute later.

Everyone, the host included, must update to v1.1.4.

What's new since v1.1.2

  • Fixed: a player who reached the team's map late (for example after the others went ahead to another area) was invisible to the others, and their damage didn't count. Now everyone sees them and their hits land.
  • Release builds now always carry their real build id.

Everyone, the host included, must update to v1.1.3.

What's new since v1.1.1

  • Bath messengers' shop: a guest no longer sees the Uncanny and Lost weapons (Holy Moonlight Sword, Bowblade, Rakuyo and the rest) for sale before earning them. Each player's shop now shows only the weapons that player has unlocked. Saves that already got the wrong weapons in the shop are cleaned the first time they load. A weapon kept only in the storage box leaves the shop until it's back in your inventory.
  • Hunter's Dream headstones: team guests could again get "no place to awaken" after joining. A guest now lights its own lamps and the team's lamps again right after the join, so the headstones work for everyone.
  • Hunter's Dream: the bath messengers no longer rise and play their tune over and over when several players use the shop. Each player's shop and the Doll's "Give" option are now their own.

Everyone, the host included, must update to v1.1.2. The launcher remakes the game's event files on the first PLAY after the update.

Known issue: the team host can't enter a Root chalice dungeon unless a teammate stands in the Hunter's Dream. UPnP only works when the router has it turned on; if the launcher says no router answered, use Radmin VPN.

What's new since v1.1.0

  • Playing over the internet without a VPN works now. Before, a guest who joined the host's internet address was sent to the host's home-network address (192.168.x), so their game stayed offline and the host never saw them. The server now answers each player with the address that player used.
  • Start server asks your router to open the host's ports (UPnP) and shows your internet address to give friends. If the router can't do it (UPnP off, or a shared carrier address), the launcher says so and the others should use Radmin VPN. Stop server closes the ports again. The same check is also an Open ports (UPnP) button in How to connect.
  • New How to connect button on the Co-op card: the Radmin VPN steps, this PC's Radmin address with one-press "I'm the host: use it", what to check when nothing connects, and a link to the full guide with pictures.
  • One way to run the server: the host presses Start server, then PLAY. PLAY no longer starts the server by itself, and the line beside Start server says whether it's running.
  • Enemies: A bit harder (HP x1.5, damage x1.25, poise x1.5), Harder (x3 / x1.5 / x3), Much harder (x5 / x2 / x5), or Custom, where you type your own HP, damage and poise (1 to 10). Everyone in the team needs the same setting.
  • Co-op settings layout: Host's IP and Enemies side by side.

Everyone, the host included, must update to v1.1.1.

Known issue: the team host can't enter a Root chalice dungeon unless a teammate stands in the Hunter's Dream. UPnP only works when the router has it turned on; if the launcher says no router answered, use Radmin VPN.

What's new since v1.0.2

  • Hemwick's mist: guests wake the enemies that rise out of the mist, and a finished ambush stays finished for the whole party.
  • The Witch of Hemwick: guests can hit her summons, and she no longer flickers in guests' games.
  • Lamps can't be lit before their boss is dead. A lamp that broke this way (like the Witch's Abode lamp) works again once you load the area.
  • Story chalice dungeons build their real layout again, and guests get the chalice boss's reward. Altars made before this update need a new ritual.
  • Hunter's Dream headstones follow each player's own lamps, so guests can travel from them.
  • Team screen: no more Play alone or Ready. The leader picks the world from the third button and guests are ready on their own. Outside a team, Begin the hunt plays alone.
  • Only your own bloodstain shows on the compass and the map.
  • A trip already under way when the team forms is no longer cut short.
  • New optional lighting: Screen lighting (soft corner shadows and bounced light) and Ray-traced shadows on ray tracing GPUs. Off by default, in the Insert menu's Game effects tab and the game's System menu, Lighting.
  • Graphics fixes from shadPS4, and a new Fast shader math option (off by default; in the Insert menu's Display tab, the game's System menu, Frame rate, and the launcher's Advanced page; applies after a restart).

Known: a team's host cannot enter a Root (random) chalice dungeon unless a teammate stands in the Hunter's Dream; standard chalices work.

Everyone in a team must use this same release. Co-op always runs at 60 FPS.
