Selected US fundamentals can now be checked against their official SEC filing evidence from the cross-market comparison screen.

Highlights

  • On-demand source-filing checks in the UI and API match the exact company, concept, unit and fiscal period against the filing's XBRL instance.
  • Results expose exact selected and observed values, official source links, SEC-reported acceptance metadata, dated results and manual retries.
  • Corroboration, conflicting values, missing coverage and provider failures remain distinct; downloads and request deadlines are bounded.
  • Live NVDA testing uncovered SEC accession-label and padded CIK formats; both were fixed and the maintainer verified the browser journey.

Upgrade notes

No database migration or new provider setting is required. Configure the existing SEC_USER_AGENT to enable SEC requests.

This is bounded filing-level verification, not complete historical vintages, inferred revision order, or proof of what investors knew at a past trading time.

Validation

Release-prep CI passed, including clean-install and disposable PostgreSQL contracts. Local validation passed 1,074 backend tests (one skipped), 389 frontend tests, three browser smoke tests and the production build; backend coverage was 74.24%.
