Konspekt

What's new

  • The interface now speaks four languages: English, Spanish, Serbian (Latin) and Russian. Pick yours in Settings under Appearance; it is remembered between launches. Everything you see is translated: buttons, hints, error messages, language names.
  • Dictation: speak into any application without opening Konspekt. Hold Ctrl+Shift+D, talk, release, and the text appears wherever your cursor is — an email, a chat, a search box. A press-to-toggle mode is available too. Russian is the point here: comparable tools run on Whisper or Parakeet, and Parakeet does not know Russian at all.
  • Nothing you dictate is stored. The audio lives in memory only, never touches the disk, and never shows up in your meeting list.
  • Imports no longer freeze after a recorded meeting. Previously the first dropped file would stall at 100% forever and the rest never started, with only a restart to fix it.
  • A meeting stuck in "processing" now recovers on the next launch, with all the text that was recognised.
  • The source code is open under FSL-1.1-MIT: read it, change it, use it. The one restriction is packaging it into a competing commercial product. Every release turns into plain MIT two years after it ships.

There is now a project page with screenshots, in the same four languages.

Verifying the download: SHA256SUMS is attached, and the build carries a GitHub provenance attestation (gh attestation verify konspekt-0.8.0-setup.exe -R lamver/konspekt). This is the first release built and signed by CI rather than on a developer's machine.

  • Интерфейс заговорил на четырёх языках: русском, английском, испанском и сербском (латиницей). Язык выбирается в настройках, разделом «Оформление», и запоминается до следующего запуска. Переведено всё, что видит человек: кнопки, подсказки, сообщения об ошибках, названия языков.
  • Диктовка: можно наговорить текст в любое приложение, не открывая Konspekt. Зажали Ctrl+Shift+D, сказали, отпустили — текст появился там, где стоит курсор: в письме, в чате, в поле поиска. Есть и режим по нажатию. Русский здесь и есть смысл затеи: похожие программы работают на Whisper и Parakeet, а Parakeet русского не знает вовсе.
  • Наговоренное нигде не сохраняется: звук живёт только в памяти, на диск не попадает и в список встреч не добавляется.
  • Загрузка записей больше не встаёт намертво после записанной встречи. Раньше первый брошенный файл навсегда застывал на 100%, остальные не начинались, и помогал только перезапуск.
  • Встреча, застрявшая в «обрабатывается», при следующем запуске становится готовой со всем распознанным текстом.
  • Исходный код открыт под FSL-1.1-MIT: читать, править и пользоваться можно свободно, нельзя одно — собрать из него конкурирующий продукт на продажу. Каждая версия через два года после выпуска сама становится обычной MIT.

Появилась страница проекта со снимками экрана, на тех же четырёх языках.

Как проверить скачанное: рядом лежит SHA256SUMS, а у сборки есть подпись происхождения от GitHub (gh attestation verify konspekt-0.8.0-setup.exe -R lamver/konspekt). Это первый выпуск, собранный и подписанный на сервере, а не на машине разработчика.
