Are sometimes converted to

The results may alleviate the concerns for less creative children to experience drawbacks in TBLT outlined in \sectref{sec:06:1.} Research question 2

The problem is that \sectref{sec:6.} contains the punctuation, although it should follow it: \sectref{sec:6}..

It seems intra-document links were not used in the original submission, i.e. the reference was written in pure text, without additions by Word/LibreOffice....
