Dictation uses a final batch transcription step before pasting when the batch model is available. It reuses the rolling preview and processes an overlapping ending, with a full pass when the preview cannot be joined safely. If batch transcription fails, it falls back to the live transcript.

  • A 0.6-second finishing window captures words spoken as you press stop. The stop sound confirms when the microphone closes.
  • A new read can restart the backend after its process exits.
  • The unused mini player setting was removed.
  • The bundled runtime includes dependency security updates.

Yap runs locally on Apple Silicon Macs with macOS 14 or later. This release is not notarized. Follow the installation steps in the README.
