Enhanced Subtitle Parsing
Improved subtitle content processing to maintain better fidelity with original subtitle files.
Key Improvements:
- Preserved HTML Entities: Original HTML entities (
&,<,>,",', etc.) are now preserved after alignment, preventing unwanted decoding. - Improved Text Fidelity: Enhanced parsing logic to retain special characters and formatting in subtitles.
Impact:
- ✅ Better preservation of special characters and symbols in subtitles
- ✅ More accurate representation of original subtitle content
- ✅ Improved compatibility with subtitle files containing encoded characters
Example:
Before v0.4.6:
1
00:00:01,000 --> 00:00:03,000
She said "Hello" & goodbyeHTML entities might be decoded as : She said "Hello" & goodbye in the output.
After v0.4.6:
1
00:00:01,234 --> 00:00:03,456
She said "Hello" & goodbyeHTML entities are preserved in the output.
