[1.114.51] - 2026-09-29

Update All Apps and Reset Windows Update no longer cut into an app install, and saving the hosts file no
longer waits for a speed test.
The Dashboard's Update All Apps now takes turns with App Updates, Bulk
Installer and Uninstaller, Reset Windows Update waits for all four, and DNS & Hosts saves the hosts file
while a speed test runs.

Fixed

  • The Dashboard's Update All Apps took no lock, so it could run winget upgrade --all beside an upgrade,
install or uninstall on App Updates, Bulk Installer or Uninstaller. Windows Installer runs one installation
at a time, so an MSI package in either could fail with exit code 1618: the overlap v1.114.47 fixed between
the three tabs themselves. Closing SysManager while it ran did not name it either. It now takes the same lock
as the three tabs, so it refuses with "Cannot start — X is already running." while one of them is at work,
and they refuse while it runs. Present since v1.17.0, when the Dashboard gained Update All Apps.
  • Reset Windows Update could stop Windows Installer under an install SysManager itself was running. It
force-stops the Windows Installer service, and its confirmation warns that this interrupts an installation
in another program, but it waited only for work that services Windows, such as a repair or a Windows Update
install. It now also waits for App Updates, Bulk Installer, Uninstaller and Update All Apps, and none of
them starts while it runs. Present since v1.26.0, when System Fixes gained Reset Windows Update.
  • Saving or restoring the hosts file on DNS & Hosts was refused while a speed test or a traceroute ran.
v1.114.48 gave it the lock the speed tests, traceroute and Network Repair share, on the grounds that Network
Repair resets the hosts file. It never touches it: it flushes the DNS cache and resets Winsock and TCP/IP.
Nothing else in SysManager writes the hosts file, and each save puts a finished copy in place, so a save now
waits for nothing. Changing DNS keeps the lock, so a DNS change still never lands in the middle of a network
reset or a measurement. Present since v1.114.48.

Verify the download

Get-FileHash .\SysManager-v1.114.51.exe -Algorithm SHA256

Expected SHA256: D13DBD13E3AE71D58CB4190A6730F40C8ADFD6F4C4E6563395D9EEB5448A1604

This build is not code-signed, so Windows will warn on first launch. That is
expected for a small independent app: see what the warning says and what to
click
.
Code signing is planned through the SignPath Foundation,
which provides free certificates to open-source projects, with signing performed by
SignPath.io. Until then, the SHA256 above and the build
attestation below are what establish that a download is the genuine build.

Code signing policy

This release is not code-signed. The team roles, release-approval process and
privacy policy required by the SignPath Foundation programme
are documented in advance under Code signing
policy
. That
documentation is a prerequisite for applying, not evidence of a certificate. The
attribution line naming SignPath as the signing provider will appear here once a
certificate is actually issued.

This program will not transfer any information to other networked systems unless
specifically requested by the user or the person installing or operating it. Full
privacy policy.

Verify where this binary came from

This exe was built by GitHub Actions from this public source, and the build is
recorded in the Sigstore public transparency log. With the
GitHub CLI:

gh attestation verify .\SysManager-v1.114.51.exe --repo laurentiu021/SystemManager

That proves which commit and workflow produced this exact binary, something the
SHA256 file cannot show, since it is published alongside the exe it describes.
Each release also ships SysManager-v1.114.51.sbom.json, a CycloneDX inventory of
every dependency resolved for this build.
