[1.130.7] - 2026-10-20

A Windows Update that fails now names the error Windows reported, and App Updates, Bandwidth Monitor and Gaming
Profile each stop counting or keeping something they should not.

Fixed

  • A failed Windows Update showed "code 4" and left nothing in the log. The Windows Update tab read only Windows
Update's overall result code, which is 4 for nearly every failed download or install, so the row read "Failed
(install code 4)" and the error Windows reported, the code to search for (0x800F0922, 0x80073712 and so on), never
appeared. The row names that error now, for example "Failed (install 0x800F0922)", and every failed download or
install is written to the log with its result code and error, so a diagnostics bundle carries it. A result of
"succeeded with errors" is decided by the update's own result instead of counting as a failure. Since 1.18.0.
  • Apps whose installed version winget cannot read stayed on the update list for good. winget offers such an app on
every scan, and reinstalling it does not tell winget the version, so App Updates listed it ticked every time, the
Dashboard counted it, and Update All Apps reinstalled it on every press without the count going down. Those apps
are listed unticked now, the status line says how many there are, and the Dashboard's count and Update All Apps
leave them out, as winget's own upgrade --all does. Since 1.52.38.
  • Bandwidth Monitor's first reading after you came back to it was an average of the whole time away. It takes no
samples while the tab is hidden, so the first one after it was shown again covered everything sent and received
since you left it, and it was shown as the current rate, plotted as "now", saved to the history and checked
against the alert threshold. That sample only restarts the measurement now, and the next one, a second later, is
shown. Since the tab was added (1.54.0).
  • Game mode could leave Windows Search stopped. "Pause search indexing" waits up to 30 seconds for Windows Search
to stop. When Windows took longer, the step counted as failed, so ending game mode did not start Windows Search
again, though it finished stopping a moment later and stayed stopped until the next restart. A stop Windows
accepted counts as done now, and ending game mode waits for Windows Search to finish stopping before starting it
    again. Since 1.52.38.

Verify the download

Get-FileHash .\SysManager-v1.130.7.exe -Algorithm SHA256

Expected SHA256: 4878BD1FC006FA78591400E47382AA62DB5BBEFE4AB1DA37F8341FB37F7065B0

This build is not code-signed, so Windows will warn on first launch. That is
expected for a small independent app: see what the warning says and what to
click
.
Code signing is planned through the SignPath Foundation,
which provides free certificates to open-source projects, with signing performed by
SignPath.io. Until then, the SHA256 above and the build
attestation below are what establish that a download is the genuine build.

Code signing policy

This release is not code-signed. The team roles, release-approval process and
privacy policy required by the SignPath Foundation programme
are documented in advance under Code signing
policy
. That
documentation is a prerequisite for applying, not evidence of a certificate. The
attribution line naming SignPath as the signing provider will appear here once a
certificate is actually issued.

This program will not transfer any information to other networked systems unless
specifically requested by the user or the person installing or operating it. Full
privacy policy.

Verify where this binary came from

This exe was built by GitHub Actions from this public source, and the build is
recorded in the Sigstore public transparency log. With the
GitHub CLI:

gh attestation verify .\SysManager-v1.130.7.exe --repo laurentiu021/SystemManager

That proves which commit and workflow produced this exact binary, something the
SHA256 file cannot show, since it is published alongside the exe it describes.
Each release also ships SysManager-v1.130.7.sbom.json, a CycloneDX inventory of
every dependency resolved for this build.
