The Uninstaller tab no longer looks broken when you open it after granting administrator access
somewhere else — it now explains, in the neutral colour it should always have used, why uninstalling
waits for a normal window.

Fixed

  • The Uninstaller told administrators to "reopen SysManager normally" with no way to do it, in the colour that everywhere else means "you can now do more". Uninstalling is deliberately turned off while SysManager runs as administrator, so each app can raise its own permission prompt rather than inheriting ours. But this tab announced that in the same gold banner the other 30 tabs use to say "Running as administrator — you can now …", and the message was "Uninstall is disabled in administrator sessions. Reopen SysManager normally to continue." So after pressing the gold "Run as administrator" button on Quick Cleanup, you arrived here to a reassuring gold bar, a greyed-out Uninstall button, no explanation of why, and an instruction the app offers no button for. The banner is now the same neutral grey as the one directly above it, and says what is happening and why: uninstalling is off while running as administrator so each app can show you its own permission prompt, then close and reopen normally to uninstall. The restriction itself is unchanged — it is a safety property, not a bug.

Verify the download

Get-FileHash .\SysManager-v1.61.11.exe -Algorithm SHA256

Expected SHA256: 2597FD0A6DED79EE6363D2A307DF7D31D66AF72FD490CBF9FE6C0F9E9EBFA956

This build is not code-signed, so Windows will warn on first launch. That is
expected for a small independent app: see what the warning says and what to
click
.
Code signing is planned through the SignPath Foundation,
which provides free certificates to open-source projects, with signing performed by
SignPath.io. Until then, the SHA256 above and the build
attestation below are what establish that a download is the genuine build.

Verify where this binary came from

This exe was built by GitHub Actions from this public source, and the build is
recorded in the Sigstore public transparency log. With the
GitHub CLI:

gh attestation verify .\SysManager-v1.61.11.exe --repo laurentiu021/SystemManager

That proves which commit and workflow produced this exact binary, something the
SHA256 file cannot show, since it is published alongside the exe it describes.
Each release also ships SysManager-v1.61.11.sbom.json, a CycloneDX inventory of
every dependency resolved for this build.
