Install

Download a zip, extract it anywhere, and run Vreme.exe. Nothing is installed and nothing
is written outside %APPDATA%\vreme, so uninstalling is deleting the folder.

  • self-contained — no prerequisites, larger download. Start here if unsure.
  • framework-dependent — much smaller, needs the .NET 10 desktop runtime.

First run

The panel appears at the far left of the taskbar and picks up your location from your IP
address, so there is nothing to configure. There is no window — the widget lives in
the notification area. Right-click its tray icon for:

  • Refresh now and Change location
  • Move to next monitor / Show on all monitors
  • Start with Windows — per-user, so it needs no elevation
  • Exit

Hover the panel for the hourly and daily forecast. It hides itself automatically when a
fullscreen game covers the screen it is on.

SmartScreen

These builds are unsigned, so Windows will warn on first run: choose More info, then
Run anyway. Verify the download against SHA256SUMS.txt if you would rather check
than trust.

Requirements

Windows 11. Developed and tested on 25H2 (build 26200) with a bottom-docked taskbar; a
vertical taskbar is not supported and the widget falls back to its tray icon there.
