What's new since v0.3.0

  • Live first-launch progress: the menu bar icon and a dropdown row now show real
    download/loading progress for the ~2.3GB Parakeet model on a cold cache, instead of a
    silent wait. Resolves instantly on every launch after the first.
  • Fixed a bug where sidecar-side code updates could silently never take effect on an
    existing install (the sidecar's Python environment persists across reinstalls, and
    wasn't being told to pick up source changes).
  • Corrected the model download size everywhere it was documented: it's ~2.3GB, not
    ~600MB.
  • README and landing page brought back in sync with the app (License tab, configurable
    hotkeys).

Requires an Apple Silicon Mac on macOS 14+. Not notarized (personal self-signed cert) —
run xattr -cr on it once before macOS will open it. Every install starts a 14-day free
trial; see Settings → License.
