Fork of anddea's RVX patches (based on v4.3.1-dev.1) with support for the latest YouTube and YouTube Music versions, plus patches of its own. One bundle for both apps.
Fixed in this release
- YouTube 21.39: overlay buttons were always visible. Mute, speed, copy URL, repeat and the other player overlay buttons showed even when turned off, and tapping them did nothing. They now follow their settings.
- YouTube 21.39: some settings only partly worked. Hide cast button, Disable ambient mode and Hide PiP mode menu worked in some places but not others, because 21.39 checks the same switch in several places. They now apply everywhere. Two internal fixes (stats for nerds colors, legacy player state) were affected the same way and are fixed too.
- Clearer patch warnings. Warnings printed while patching now name the setting and the last supported version, for example
"Change action bar position" is not supported in this version. Use YouTube Music versions up to 9.15.Warnings about removed features that need no replacement are gone. Settings that cannot work in your version are no longer shown in the settings screen.

Fixed in this release
- YouTube Music 8.30 and older: 8 patches failed to apply: Change share sheet, Downloads, Flyout menu components, Hide action bar components, Hide ads, Hide layout components, Player components, Third-party lyrics. The fork had loosened a Litho filter fingerprint so it would match on 9.40, and on older versions the looser check matched the wrong class. The original check is back, and the looser one is now tried only when the original finds nothing.
YouTube 21.39.525, YouTube Music 9.40.51 and the other versions in the table below patch exactly as they did with v1.3.0.

New in this release
Several settings did nothing on YouTube 21.39.525 and YouTube Music 9.40.51 because YouTube removed the flags or code paths they hooked. The patches now find the new code and these settings work again:
YouTube 21.39.525
- Disable DRC audio (volume normalization). Tested: the same video plays at −0.98 dB with the setting off and 0 dB with it on.
- Enable fullscreen large seekbar. Off makes the fullscreen seekbar thin, on makes it thick; the portrait seekbar stays thin either way. Default is off, so the fullscreen seekbar is now thin unless you turn this on.
- Miniplayer: initial size (width), rounded corners, drag and drop, horizontal drag gesture and "Disable playback with horizontal drag" work and are shown in the settings again. On 21.39 the two horizontal drag settings default to on, which matches the stock app. If you had already turned "Enable horizontal drag gesture" off, that stays off and the miniplayer can no longer be stashed at the screen edge.
YouTube Music 9.40.51
- Disable DRC audio is hooked again. On the test account YouTube Music did not lower the volume of any track, so there was nothing to compare.
- Hide song / video toggle works again.
- Crossfade: the fix that keeps media controls in sync during a crossfade (pause/play from the notification, Bluetooth, Android Auto) applies again.
Older app versions (YouTube 21.13.164, YouTube Music 9.15.51) keep using the old hooks.
Still not available on the new versions
YouTube removed these, so there is nothing left to patch:
- Miniplayer types Modern 1 and Modern 2 and the expand button (YouTube 21.39).
- "Restore old player button style" (YouTube 21.39).
- "Change action bar position" (YouTube Music 9.40): the setting is still shown but does nothing.

New in this release
YouTube Music - Restore Android Auto playlists gets the remaining features of Morphe's "Android Auto" patch (Morphe 1.46.0-dev.1):
- Artwork: playlists and tracks show their thumbnails in the car.
- Changes on the phone show up in the car: liking or unliking a song, editing, creating or deleting a playlist reloads the open car pages after about 5 seconds. Liking from the car's thumbs-up button does too.
- Lists stay when a load fails: if the network drops, the car keeps the list it already had instead of showing "No items". Long playlists keep the pages already loaded if a later page fails.
Fixes for bugs that were already in 1.1.x:
- After the app was started by Android Auto (cold start), the first page could show "No items" because no login was available yet. The page now reloads as soon as the app is logged in.
- After the app restarted with the Playlists page open in the car, that page showed "No items". The page ids are now kept across restarts.
- The patch now applies to YouTube Music 9.15.51 again (a new hook needed public access there).
Morphe's Podcasts tab is not included: Morphe adds it only when YouTube Music shows exactly two root tabs, and 9.40.51 shows three (Home, Library, More), with the podcast shelves already on Home.

v1.1.0: Android Auto playlists
Fork of anddea's RVX patches (based on v4.3.1-dev.1) with support for the latest YouTube and YouTube Music versions, plus patches of its own. One bundle for both apps.
Versioning: this fork now has its own version numbers, separate from anddea's. 1.0.0 is the earlier v4.3.1-dev.1-lavin.1. New features raise the middle number, fixes raise the last one.
Update feed: the repository's patches-bundle.json now points at this fork's releases, not anddea's. The bundle is not signed (no .asc).
New in this release
Restore Android Auto playlists (YouTube Music, on by default)
- Android Auto's Library → Playlists page showed "No items", even on unpatched YouTube Music, because the server sends that page empty.
- This patch fills it with your playlists as folders. Opening a folder lists its songs ("Artist • 3:45").
- Tapping a song plays it with the rest of the playlist as the queue.
- It uses your own login inside the app and only shows your own library.
- Exclude it with
-d "Restore Android Auto playlists".
