Sealshot 0.8.0
Changes
-
Sealshot is now free to use. There is no trial and nothing expires. Every
feature is unlocked whether or not you ever pay: full-resolution captures and
recordings, redaction, Live Text, encryption, the Library — all of it, with no
watermark and no capture ever refused. If you were previously past the trial
and locked out of new captures, this version unlocks them again. -
What a license buys now is that Sealshot stops asking. Once you have used
it for a while, an occasional reminder appears after a capture — never before
one, never during, and no more than once a fortnight — with a way to buy, to
dismiss it, or to say you already have. A license turns it off for good. -
The trial countdown is gone from the app. No banner across the top of the
window, and no "days left" in Settings ▸ License. -
Updates are permanent. A license now covers every future version of
Sealshot, not 12 or 18 months of them. There is no window to watch, nothing
to renew, and no version that arrives "after your license". Licenses issued
from now on say so in plain text: Updates — All future versions. -
Bought before that changed? Your replacement is free. If your license
covers a fixed number of months, Settings ▸ License now says so and tells you
how to get a permanent one at no cost — email support with the license ID
shown there. It used to offer to sell you a renewal, which would have meant
paying again for something you already own. -
The occasional support reminder now appears attached to the Sealshot window
instead of on top of whatever you had switched to.
Fixed
- The Editor / Library / Settings tabs could get stuck greyed out after an
AI action (Enhance Clarity, Extract Data, Smart Redaction, Live Text),
leaving the top of the window unusable until Sealshot was relaunched. The
tabs now unfreeze as soon as the action's progress card leaves the screen,
and switching tabs from the View menu clears any leftover freeze. - The Export to Package sheet now says "Export stays disabled until you copy
the passcode" right under the Copy button, instead of tucking that note
further down the sheet.
