Colony flag banner not working for builders

Are you using the latest MineColonies Version?

• I am running the latest beta/release version of MineColonies for my Minecraft version.
  I am also running the latest versions of other mods that are part of my problem.

Did you check on the Wiki? or ask on Discord?

• I checked the MineColonies Wiki and made sure my issue is not covered there. Or I was sent from discord to open an issue here.

What were you playing at the time? Were you able to reproduce it in both settings?

Current Behavior

When builders place a colony flag banner, its just plain white until manually replace it myself.

Expected Behavior

My colony flag banner actually appearing when builders place it.

Reproduction Steps

I genuinely have no clue as it happens with every single building I place that has colony flag banners. I'm using the Shogun style from stylecolonies. So I'd say place a building like the warehouse or the town hall and wait until they've placed the banner.

Hmm, I can't reproduce this. Can you reproduce this with deco scans or other styles too?

Just a note that this happens intermittently to me too, has for many months
I thought I'd even filed a bug
Never seemed style dependent. At the time, i was playing mixed colonies on 1.20.1 and saw it happen at least on shogun, archwood, I think jungle cliffs and original but don't remember all of them
I'll see if I can find the other report

I only play server nowadays so I know it happens there. Can't speak to single-player
It seemed to mostly happen in midgame "mature" colonies not early ones but that could be misperception on my part (especially as most colony banners show up after lvl 2 iirc in most styles)

I've noticed for about the past year in 1.20.1 that colony banners from one colony show up in another colony when placed by a builder (on a server). What we notice is that the banner from colony 1 shows up in other colonies when the builder places them.

maybe it shows blank if the other person's colony is not loaded at the time the banner is placed? That could conceivably fit both symptoms

Thodor and I looked at the ones that were happening in my Fairy Tale colony back in Wolfcraft season 3. I thought he did some fixes for it back then. IIRC we suspected that style had been created in a colony, rather than a schem world and that had caused it that time.

If the flags get assigned to a placement handler that doesn't do placedBy this might fail if a banner was stored with a colony in it.

Ah, so it is not just my World. my (our) Problem is, that when I placed down a building for a friend of mine as officer, the building gets the colony flag of my colony, not hers.

@Raycoms, I can confirm, the problem arises when the "minecraft" banner is in the same inventory as the "mine colonies" banner, and they become permanently bugged. So the only solution is to craft other banners and make sure they aren't in the same inventory, whether it's the player's inventory or in chests.
