🧪 Alpha Release

This is the third public alpha release of the app.

✨ What’s new

Persistent cover storage

  • Covers are now downloaded once, stored permanently on disk and auto-healed: every cache hit validates the file; invalid or truncated images are deleted and fetched again. The warm-up downloader retries and only writes real image bytes, so you won’t end up with missing or broken artwork anymore.

Cover warm-up + onboarding refresh

  • A new splash gate explains the ~1.3 GB cover download before the app launches. Accepting starts the warm-up immediately (with a visible progress banner); declining closes the app so you can relaunch later. Warm-up plans are hashed/persisted, so finished runs do not restart after relaunches.

Immediate progress feedback

  • Both the onboarding flow and the “Reload covers” action in settings now show an “initializing” banner right away, even while the plan is still being prepared.

Backup & import improvements

  • Importing a JSON backup refreshes EpisodeStateProvider automatically, so ratings/notes appear at once. The dialog uses the correct context, and the snackbar messaging is clearer.
Settings polish
  • The cover-cache tile auto-refreshes every 10 seconds without flicker, and “Cover erneut laden” displays a clear warning before wiping the cache and kicking off a full warm-up (also with an immediate banner).

Persistente Cover-Speicherung

  • Covers werden einmalig heruntergeladen, dauerhaft lokal gespeichert und bei Bedarf automatisch repariert. Jede Datei wird beim Zugriff geprüft; defekte Bilder werden gelöscht und neu geladen. Der Warm-Up-Download speichert nur noch gültige Bilddaten.

Cover-Warm-Up & Onboarding überarbeitet

  • Neuer Splash-Gate mit Hinweis auf den ca. 1,3 GB Download. Bestätigen startet sofort den Warm-Up + Banner, Ablehnen schließt die App (Dialog erscheint beim nächsten Start wieder). Abgeschlossene Läufe werden über Hashes erkannt und nicht erneut gestartet.

Sofortiges Fortschrittsfeedback

  • Sowohl beim Onboarding als auch bei „Cover erneut laden“ erscheint sofort ein „Initialisiere…“-Banner, bevor die ersten Zahlen vorliegen.

Backup & Import

  • Nach dem JSON-Import wird der EpisodeStateProvider automatisch neu geladen, sodass Bewertungen/Notizen direkt sichtbar sind. Dialog + Snackbar verhalten sich stabiler und sind klar formuliert.

Einstellungen

  • Der Cover-Status aktualisiert sich automatisch (alle 10 s) ohne Flackern, und der Reload-Button zeigt einen eindeutigen Warnhinweis, löscht den Cache und startet den Warm-Up inklusive Sofort-Banner.
