lapis-stats provides helper modules for metrics and stats collection for Lua, OpenResty & Lapis.

Features

Metrics Clients

  • statsd - Send metrics to statsd-compatible servers over UDP with support for counters, timers, gauges, and values. Includes Pipeline interface for batching multiple metrics.
  • victoriametrics - Full HTTP API client for VictoriaMetrics with support for queries, range queries, data export, writes, and imports using Prometheus exposition format.
  • influxdb - HTTP API client for InfluxDB 1.x with query and write support.

Lapis CLI Actions

  • stat_system - Collect system metrics (CPU, disk usage) via standard Linux tools and output in Prometheus format
  • stat_postgres - Collect PostgreSQL database metrics with optional PgBouncer statistics

All metrics modules support both OpenResty co-socket API (non-blocking) and LuaSocket for standard Lua environments.
