The duration multiplier operator has changed from . to * to free up . for dotted rhythm notation.

Notes and rests now support dotted rhythms using .:

c.         # dotted quarter: 1.5 beats
c..        # double-dotted: 1.75 beats
c*2.       # dotted half: 3 beats
r.         # dotted rest

Dividing rests

Rests now support the / operator:

r/2        # half-beat rest
r/4        # quarter-beat rest
