Premiere Pro must be running with a supported bridge installed for live editing commands. The local stdio transport is the safest default. Remote deployments require authentication and still need access to the local Premiere bridge.
When asking for help, include:
- Operating system and Premiere Pro version.
- MCP client and installation method.
- Output from the project's diagnostic command, with secrets and personal paths removed.
- The smallest reproducible sequence of actions.
- Whether the problem occurs with CEP, UXP preview, or both.
The repository README is the canonical reference for installation, supported capabilities, security boundaries, and releases. This wiki provides task-oriented community guidance and should link back to versioned repository documentation where possible.
