Limitless 1.0.5 fixes update recovery and removal when macOS launches the app from a read-only, translocated path.

• The updater and uninstaller select the verified, signed copy in Applications instead of the temporary running copy.
• Removal verifies that installed copy and its signed build record before changing integrations or moving it to Trash. If Trash fails, Limitless selects the installed app in Finder for manual removal.
• Signed regression fixtures cover altered build records and replacement when the running copy is elsewhere.

This is a community-signed, non-notarized build for Intel and Apple Silicon Macs running macOS 14 or later. Keep macOS security protections enabled; if first opening is blocked, use the normal Open Anyway flow in System Settings. If an older updater cannot finish, install the archive manually.

CI and Security passed on the published source commit. Local installation, removal, CLI sessions, battery/lid and Touch ID trials passed. A reboot/reconnect trial and the live 1.0.4 → 1.0.5 in-app update remain unverified and will be checked separately; this release does not claim those results.

• Manual checks now distinguish an ongoing check, a retry delay, and a metadata error.
• Downloaded updates must match the signed app's source revision as well as the archive hash and executable signatures.

• macOS remembers the menu-bar icon position after you Command-drag it.
• The power helper uses launchd's adaptive process type to improve reconnection after login.
• Added regression checks for updates, layout, and helper metadata.

If an older copy cannot complete its update check, download this archive and install it manually. Versions 1.0.0–1.0.2 have known updater problems; 1.0.3 can fail its check when GitHub's anonymous API limit is reached.

• Pin community signatures to the stable Limitless publisher certificate so update verification does not depend on a locally installed certificate.

Important upgrade note

Limitless 1.0.0, 1.0.1 and 1.0.2 cannot install this first fixed update automatically. Download this release, replace the old app manually, then open it. Future updates signed through the same channel can install automatically.

This community build supports Apple Silicon and Intel Macs running macOS 14 or later. It is signed by the Limitless community publisher but is not Apple-notarized; macOS may require System Settings → Privacy & Security → Open Anyway on first launch.

Limitless 1.0.2 hardens Codex, Claude, Cursor and Gemini setup against unsafe path changes, and restores previous agent configuration after failed setup or removal. Automatic updates now also restore the previous app and helper state after a failed replacement and reset download backoff after success.

Download Limitless-1.0.2-universal.zip for macOS 14 or later (Apple Silicon and Intel). This community build is signed with the existing Limitless certificate and is not Apple-notarized.
