@leecyrille leecyrille released this 19 Sep 03:08

First public build of Unofficial Google Home Volume Sync for Windows.

Download: GoogleHomeVolumeSync-setup.exe below (per-user NSIS installer, no admin needed). Windows SmartScreen may warn because the installer is not code-signed; choose More info → Run anyway.

What it does:

  • Finds every Google Cast device on your LAN (Home / Nest speakers, Chromecasts, cast groups) automatically.
  • Sync groups: change one member's volume anywhere and the rest follow. Per-device Sync Gain (0–200%) balances rooms.
  • System tray presets (5%…100%), play/pause/next/previous, weekly schedules, start with Windows.
  • Also drives Roku TVs (tested), and Yamaha MusicCast, LG webOS and Optoma projectors (implemented to spec, not yet tested on hardware — reports welcome).

Runs 100% locally; no cloud account. Website: https://googlehomevolumesync.com

Note: this release ships without signed updater metadata, so the in-app Automatic updates option will not find updates yet.

Enjoying it? Buy me a coffee — the app is free and a small tip keeps it that way.
