MCP performance and reliability

  • Initialize the HTTP client and connection pool only when a tool first contacts the device daemon.
  • Use a single-thread async runtime for stdio bridges and two workers for the shared HTTP MCP server.
  • Keep startup, tool discovery and status checks from implicitly pre-warming the phone. Set IPHONE_USE_MCP_PREWARM=1 to opt back in.
  • Preserve original snapshot element indexes in filtered screen summaries, preventing taps from targeting a different element.
  • Limit screen-row summaries to 200 rows and 32 KiB, with explicit omission and coverage notices. Alerts and action results remain visible; full daemon JSON remains available.

Restart the MCP connection after upgrading to use the new bridge. The device daemon remains shared by clients targeting the same instance.
