Added

• A new setting, Expand on a single click, in Options → General. It is on by default; switch it off and the first click on a folder selects it, while the second one expands or collapses. The chevron opens a folder in one click either way.
• Create shortcut has been added to the tree's right-click menu. With several items selected it makes one for each. Where the shortcut lands and what it is called are Windows Explorer's own.
• Shift+Backspace collapses every expanded folder. It is the same as Shift-clicking the collapse-all icon, and what was open is not restored afterwards.
• A new setting, Show This PC icon, in Options → General. It puts Windows' own This PC icon in the title bar.

Fixed

• Fixed the check on a selected thumbnail being hard to see in light mode. Its ink is no longer fixed but taken from the selection color, so it stays readable with a bright selection color too.

Added

• A faint band now marks the full extent of the folder you are in, so you can see at a glance where you are. Its background color can be set separately in the color settings.
• The playback row at the foot of the tree now has play and pause beside the stop button, and shows a moving mark while music is playing. The Now playing line in the multimedia panel shows the same mark.
• The list of excluded folders now shows which drive each folder is on. Network locations are marked in green and cloud drives in blue, on the folder icon.
• A folder that contains nothing but excluded folders is no longer shown as empty; it shows how many are hidden instead. Deleting a folder now tells you how many excluded folders are inside it.

Fixed

• Fixed a problem caused by a slight unintended drag when moving a folder. A drive row pressed and moved a few pixels was picked up whole, and the app offered to copy it into the folder it landed on, under a confirmation with no name in it. A drive can no longer be dragged.
• Fixed a problem where the right-click row and Enter did nothing on a folder that was already expanded. That row now collapses it as well.
• Fixed the uneven spacing around one of the dividers in the color window.

Changed

• Thumbnails carry no file name, which made them awkward to tell apart. Tooltips in the thumbnail bar and list now appear faster to make up for it, and tooltips in the other lists are a little faster too.
• In a folder's right-click menu, Open in default app now reads Expand or Collapse.
• The English wording has been reviewed throughout the app, and every label now reads in sentence case.
• The color window's buttons were rearranged: Close on the far left, the four palette buttons on the right.
• The thumbnail bar keeps its dividing line when Panel dividers is turned off.
• The snap grid for resizing the window with Shift or Ctrl is finer.
• Default sort in the options menu moved below File types.

Added

• An expanded folder says when it is empty. When the file type filter is what emptied it, the folder says how many files it is hiding instead, so a folder the filter emptied no longer reads as an empty one.

Fixed

• Rows in the tree's right-click menu now grey out when they do not apply - Hide on a file, Extract on something that is not a zip, Rename and Copy Path on several items at once. The "N items selected" line at the top of that menu is back with them.
• Edgetree no longer closes along with another application when that application fails while a file is being dragged into it.
• The mark that says a menu continues past the screen now appears with the menu, instead of only after the wheel was touched.
• The numbers in the bookmark panel take the bookmark name's colour. They used to borrow the Show More row's, so darkening that colour took the numbers with it.
• The Show More and Show Fewer lines no longer follow the bold-folders setting; none of those rows is a folder.
• The thumbnail list no longer alternates between two heights because of the scrollbar's width.

Changed

• Hide This Folder in the tree's right-click menu is now Hide, which is also what it says for a drive or for several items at once.
• Alt+Enter opens Properties from the tree, from the open menu, or from a search result.

Edgetree v2.5.2

Added

• A folder’s sort order now applies to its subfolders. The sort menu’s 부모 폴더 따르기 is checked by default; picking a field of its own clears it. A subfolder with its own sort keeps it.
• Shift-clicking the Collapse All icon in the title bar folds without storing the expanded state. A plain click still folds and restores.
• Hovering the arrows at the top or bottom of a long menu scrolls it, one row at a time.
• Connecting or removing a USB or cloud drive updates the tree automatically.
• An X beside the title ends detached audio playback.

• Fixed a crash while the thumbnail list caught up with files arriving in the folder on show - a capture tool saving into the folder being viewed could bring the app down.

• A list layout for the thumbnail bar, now the default. The same thumbnails fold into rows that scroll down. If you were already using the bar, it comes up as the list after the update - Options → Multimedia panel → Thumbnail list layout switches back.
• Ctrl+wheel sizes the thumbnails; dragging the top edge sets how many rows are on show.
• Multi-select on the thumbnails. Ctrl+click picks several, Shift+click a range, Ctrl+Shift adds a range, Ctrl+A takes the folder - and copy, cut, delete and drag-out act on the whole set.
• Files can be dropped onto the list. They land in the folder on show, and what arrived is left selected - after a paste too.
• Files with no thumbnail of their own show their file-type icon, in the list and in the panel.
• The tree scrolls during a drag while the pointer holds its top or bottom edge.

Improved

• Thumbnails no longer come up upside down now and then. After the update, each folder fetches its thumbnails fresh on the first visit.
• A thumbnail click no longer fails to change the picture after the folder was refreshed.
• Deleting a file no longer rebuilds the whole thumbnail list.
• The file info line sits right under the picture, with the thumbnails below both.
• The overwrite question after a drop now comes to the front. It could open behind the window it belonged to.

• The app launched straight after installing now runs as the normal user. In that one window it could not see virtual or mapped drives, and Explorer could not drop files into it.
