This release adds a small terminal-color utility to FE and improves the source-level documentation around text handling and diagnostics helpers.

Highlights

  • Added fe::term, a lightweight stream-based terminal color helper for diagnostics and CLI output.
    • Supports Mode::Auto, Mode::Never, and Mode::Always.
    • Respects NO_COLOR, CLICOLOR=0, and CLICOLOR_FORCE.
    • Detects terminal-backed std::cout, std::cerr, and std::clog.
    • Includes std::formatter<fe::term::FG> support.
  • Added coverage for fe::term in the test suite.
  • Expanded UTF-8 documentation in fe::utf8 and added/kept focused tests for malformed sequences such as overlong encodings, surrogate code points, and values outside the Unicode range.
  • Refreshed the FE docs to mention both fe::term and fe::utf8 more explicitly.

Notes

  • This release is primarily additive and documentation-focused.
  • No migration steps are expected for existing FE users.
