Hoard your favorite sounds. A local-first macOS app that saves TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube sounds into a folder that's yours — searchable, tagged, offline, and GPU-transcribed.

Install

  1. Download SoundCache-0.3.0-arm64.dmg below
  2. Open it and drag Sound Cache into Applications
  3. Launch it — it's signed + notarized by Apple, so it opens with a normal double-click (no right-click-Open, no security warning)

What's included

Fully self-contained — no Homebrew, no setup. The app bundles Python, the on-device GPU transcription engines (Apple MLX + faster-whisper), and portable node + ffmpeg. The first time you tap Connect TikTok, it downloads the browser it needs (one-time, ~150 MB).

Out of the box: your library, playback, search, favorites, duplicate review, and on-device GPU transcripts all work immediately. To pull TikTok sounds you connect your TikTok login once (the app walks you through it).

Requirements

  • Apple Silicon Mac (M1 or later), macOS 12+
  • A TikTok account (to capture TikTok sounds — an active login is required by TikTok)
