• Crashes: the speech balloon and the screenshot notice are now reused instead of being recreated each time, which was behind several crashes.

• Mascots disappearing: the app now notices when a mascot vanishes or stops responding and brings it back by itself.
• Speech balloon cut off with two monitors using different scaling (100% / 125%…).
• Share card: covers are no longer stretched.

• Steam games with a launcher (like Irotoridori no Sekai): Play now starts them through Steam, even when the detected program is in a subfolder.
• "Locate…" is kept: the program you pick (a launcher, for example) is used by Play and desktop shortcuts, and the app won't replace it anymore. "Locate…" is always on the VN's page.

• Mascot voices: "Voices…" on each mascot lets you add your own sound files (MP3, WAV, OGG, M4A, OPUS, FLAC) for each moment: starting a VN, a new route, a screenshot, clicking it… Give a moment several sounds and one is picked at random.
• Mascots talk on their own: in Mascots → Options, pick how often they say something (every 1 to 30 minutes). Each personality got new lines for it, and Custom mascots can have their own.
• View only mascots: turn on "View only" and clicks go through the mascot, so it can't steal the focus from a game.
• Key to switch clicks on or off: set a key in Mascots → Options to make every mascot click-through (or clickable again) at once, even in the middle of a game.
• Original title on Discord: Settings → Presence → "Title on Discord" can show the VN's original title from VNDB (ドーナドーナ…). The romanized title shows when hovering the cover.
• Discord language: "Language on Discord" keeps your status in one language (for example English) whatever language the app is in.
• Full screen: press F11.

• Share page loads much faster: covers are resized once and kept, so switching periods is instant.
• Big screens: pages now use the full width instead of leaving empty space on the right.

Fixed

• Desktop shortcuts with the wrong icon: if a game has moved, "Desktop shortcut" now asks you to locate it instead of using the app's icon.
• App icon in the taskbar: Windows no longer borrows a game shortcut's icon for Visual Novel RPC. Recreate your shortcuts once to be sure.

• 7 languages: the whole app is now in English, French, Spanish, Portuguese (Brazil), Russian, Japanese and Vietnamese, including the Discord status, the tray menu and the mascots. Pick yours at the top of Settings, or keep "Same as Windows".
• Mascot personalities: each mascot can be Cheerful, Tsundere, Shy, Big sister or Chuunibyou. It changes everything it says.
• Your own mascot lines: pick "Custom" and write what your mascot says when you start a VN, reach a new route, take a screenshot or click it. Anything left empty keeps the default line.
• Desktop shortcuts: on a VN's page, "Desktop shortcut" puts an icon on your desktop that starts the game with its options (Locale Emulator, NTLEA…) and Visual Novel RPC with it.

Improved

• Library sort is remembered: Most read, Recent or A–Z stays as you left it when you reopen the app.
• Dates follow your language: day and month are in the right order (for example 3月3日 in Japanese).
• Clicking a mascot: it now picks from all its lines, not only the first ones.

• Mascot gallery: a new Mascots page in the sidebar. Add your own characters (PNG with a transparent background), click one to put it on your desktop, click again to take it off.
• Several mascots at once: pick as many as you want. Each one keeps its own spot, the one you click answers you, and right-click → "Hide this mascot" only hides that one.
• Mascot options moved: height, speech balloons and "keep them above other windows" are now on the Mascots page. If you had a custom mascot image, it's already in your gallery.
• "Mark VNs as Playing on VNDB when I start them": new option in Settings → VNDB list, so you can turn it off.

Fixed

• VNDB wishlist: when a VN gets a status (Playing, Finished…), it's now taken off your VNDB wishlist instead of staying in both.

Fixed

• Windows Defender alert: some of you got a "Trojan:Win32/Bearfoos.A!ml" warning when taking a screenshot. It was a false positive: the app isn't a virus. The screenshot key now uses the standard Windows shortcut system, and the app no longer rewrites its startup entry every time it opens, so Defender shouldn't flag it anymore.
• If Defender already removed the app: open Windows Security → Protection history, pick the alert and choose Restore, then update.

Good to know

• Screenshot key already in use: if another app uses the same key (for example PrintScreen with the Windows Snipping Tool), the app now tells you. Pick another key in Settings.
