Thank you for using Zipbook ("this App"). We value your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information.
- Bookkeeping Data: Transaction details you enter (e.g., amount, category, note, date, time). This data is stored locally on your device.
- AI Input Text: When using the AI bookkeeping feature, the natural language text you type is sent to the AI service provider for parsing.
- Account Information: Account names, balances, and related financial data you create.
- Device Identifiers: Device identifiers used by the ad SDK for ad delivery (non-personalized ads only).
- Coarse Location: Approximate location derived from IP address, used for advertising purposes.
- Usage Data: App interaction data, crash logs, and performance diagnostics collected by the ad SDK.
- Advertising Data: Data related to ad impressions, clicks, and interactions (non-personalized).
- Core Bookkeeping: To record, display, and analyze your financial income and expenses—all processed locally on your device.
- AI Smart Recognition: To send your natural language text to DeepSeek API for parsing into structured transaction data (amount, category, date, note).
- Advertising: To display non-personalized ads via Google AdMob.
- App Stability: Crash and performance data help improve app reliability.
When you use the AI bookkeeping feature and provide consent:
- What is sent: Only the text you type into the AI input box (e.g., "lunch $15").
- Who receives it: DeepSeek API, operated by Hangzhou DeepSeek Artificial Intelligence Co., Ltd.
- Purpose: To parse your natural language input into structured bookkeeping entries.
- Data usage by provider: Per DeepSeek's API terms, API inputs are not used for model training.
- What is NOT sent: We do NOT send your full transaction history, account balances, budgets, or any other personal data.
You will be asked for explicit consent before any data is transmitted to DeepSeek. You may decline and continue using manual entry.
We use Google AdMob to serve non-personalized advertisements. AdMob may collect:
- Device identifiers
- IP address (for coarse location)
- Ad interaction data
- Crash and performance data
We do not use App Tracking Transparency (ATT) or request permission to track you across apps. All ads are served in non-personalized mode.
AdMob's use of data is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
- Local First: Your bookkeeping data and settings are primarily stored on your device.
- Encryption: API keys are encrypted before storage.
- No Cloud Sync: The current version does not provide cloud synchronization. If you uninstall the app or switch devices, your data may be lost. We recommend regular device backups.
- Security Measures: We take reasonable technical measures to protect your data from unauthorized access.
- Access & Correction: You can view and modify your bookkeeping data within the app at any time.
- Deletion: You can delete individual records. Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data.
- Withdraw Consent: You can also opt out of personalized ads via device settings.
- AI Data Consent: You can choose not to use AI features. Your choice is stored locally and can be changed when you next attempt to use AI features.
This app is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.
