Custom CSS

Rules can inject CSS into open shadow roots. Set shadow root selectors on a rule and choose the event that runs adoption. The same rule still applies its page CSS without that event.

History

Viewed and listed decorations are separate preferences: Decorate Viewed Content (decorateViewedContent) and Decorate Listed Content (decorateListedContent). Each appears only when the matching style string is set, and each defaults to on.

The previous stored key entriesDecorator is unused. A saved off state on that key does not carry over; both new preferences start on.

Resources Downloader

Each leaf and collection mapping accepts pageFilter against the integration's mapped pages. An empty or omitted filter runs on every page.

Reddit (reddit_com)

Hosts: www.reddit.com, reddit.com.

• Post ids ignore the tN_ prefix, including media pages.
• Downloads cover zoomable images and shreddit-player video, in addition to packaged media JSON.
• Static CSS fixes zoomable images, feed separators between hidden posts, download-button placement, and notification-bar offsets. The bar defaults to bottom-right with a lower stacking order on Reddit.
• Larger posts layout (off by default) widens the feed on large screens and raises gallery carousel height, including inside the gallery-carousel shadow root.

Panels and notification bar

The overlay backdrop sits on the host page and the iframe matches the panel, so the dimming stays transparent when Dark Reader is locked out of the configuration iframe. Design tokens apply on body. Typing in panel inputs does not trigger keyboard navigation. Each module's action buttons sit on one row at the end of its section.

Notification bar stacking uses --sm-nb-z-index (default 2147483645).

Logging and startup

Content Manager scan logging is quieter, and Element instances are not printed as log tables. The userscript runs at document-start.
