Six new features.

  • Precision mode: hold (or toggle) a button to slow the cursor for pixel-perfect aim. Set the precision speed on the Pointer tab.
  • Scroll with the ball: hold a button and roll the ball to scroll in any direction while the cursor stays put; let go mid-roll and it glides.
  • Drag lock: press once to grab, roll to drag, press again (or click) to drop. No more holding a button while dragging.
  • App setups: give any app its own pointer speed, scrolling, buttons and combos. Glide switches the moment that app comes to the front.
  • Welcome Tour for new users (Help > Show Welcome Tour).
  • Beta program (Overview > General): try Glide with other Kensington trackballs and get early test builds. Off by default.

Safety: pausing (Control-Option-Command-G), quitting or unplugging always undoes precision, ball scrolling and drag lock.
