v1.14: 5. Data Logging & Hardware Abstraction

Instrument.lvclass:process.vi previously handled logging by periodically polling the instrument for its state. Going forward Instrument.XX.lvclass:process.vi should handle instrument polling and forwarding the hardware status to the parent (which will then forward the message to the Logger process.)

Beginning in v1.13 communication with hardware was encouraged to be in Instrument.XX.lvclass:process.vi. In v1.14 it is required (Open/Close Hardware.vi will no longer be called by Instrument.lvclass:process.vi)
