A lighter default and ASIO in the Standalone.
1X by default
New instances now start at 1X oversampling. Since 1.1.0 the clips and folds are anti-aliased in themselves, so 1X is already cleaner than 1.0.1 was at 2X, for about a quarter of that CPU (roughly 4% of a core at 44.1 kHz). 2X, 4X and 8X are one click away on OVERSAMPLE.
Sessions keep the factor they were saved with, and presets keep whatever you have selected, so nothing you have already made changes.
ASIO in the Standalone
The Standalone's Audio/MIDI settings now list ASIO drivers alongside Windows Audio. With an audio interface, choose its ASIO driver for the lowest latency and a single clock for input and output. Running input and output on two different devices (for example an interface in and a USB headset out) can still glitch, because the two devices keep separate clocks.
ASIO support uses three headers from Steinberg's ASIO SDK 2.3.4 under its GPLv3 option, credited in THIRD_PARTY_NOTICES.md. ASIO is a trademark and software of Steinberg Media Technologies GmbH.
No other change to the sound or the plugin.
