Token-saving response handling
This release focuses on minimizing the context-window cost of HTTP responses for AI agents:
- Automatic JSON minification — pretty-printed API responses are compacted before entering the agent context (20–40% token savings on indented APIs)
jsonFilterparameter — extract only the fields you need from a JSON response using GJSON path syntax, e.g.name,items.#.id,{name,id}- Binary response detection — binary bodies are summarized as
[binary: image/png, 245891 bytes]instead of dumping raw bytes into context saveToparameter — stream large or binary response bodies to a file (atomic write, no size limit) and return only a one-line summary; the agent can then read or grep the filemaxResponseBytesparameter — per-request response size limit override- Truncation notices now point the agent at
saveToto fetch the full body
New request capabilities
- Multipart file upload via the
files(form field → local path) andformFieldsparameters --cookie-jarflag — opt-in in-memory cookie jar for session/login flows- Base URL joining now also works for relative paths without a leading slash (
api/users)
Maintenance
- MCP go-sdk upgraded v1.3.0 → v1.6.1; the tool now advertises the
openWorldHintannotation - Retry delay respects context cancellation
- Removed dead
--log-*flags that were parsed but never used
