v0.25.0 — Steadier pitch, clearer splits, and music that follows your speakers
Pitch training follows your voice more steadily, with gentler reference notes and clearer feedback. Save a named microphone recording and its log to share a practice session. Volume, mute and solo stay responsive before Play, with larger touch targets. Interrupted splits are identified sooner, with clearer progress and useful failure logs on both phones. Songs and stem files stay compatible with your computer.
Sing, don't troubleshoot the sound desk.
On the phone and computer:
- Pitch training has steadier ears. Brief jumps to a harmonic no longer throw the meter into the wrong register. The sound that tells you you've reached a note follows the same reading as the meter, and reference notes use a softer flute-organ voice. Exercises spread their targets more evenly across the range you picked.
- Keep a practice take. Give a microphone recording a name, save its WAV and matching log, and export them together when you want to share what happened.
- Volume, mute and solo keep responding before Play. Repeated mixer edits while the audio is idle no longer fill a queue and leave the controls stuck. Phone mute and solo buttons have larger touch targets; dragging a slider keeps its grip without stealing vertical scrolling.
On the phone:
- Split tells you what it is doing. Loading the model no longer hides behind “resample 0%”. When Android reports that the split worker has stopped, SingZ shows the interrupted job and its available failure evidence promptly instead of waiting for a heartbeat timeout. Resume can pick up the work left on disk.
- iPhone recognises an interrupted split when you reopen the app. Jobs left by a previous app session are marked interrupted immediately, without changing their resume data. Both phones use the same progress and recovery rules, and keep the failure in the shared Log.
On Mac and Windows:
- Change speakers without restarting SingZ. When System default is selected, native playback follows the system output. A device chosen in Settings really becomes the native output too. The song keeps its position, loop and playing or paused state when the output changes sample rate.
- The first Play uses today's output. Change speakers after opening a song but before pressing Play, and the graph prepared in advance is checked against the current device before it opens.
- Settings stops worrying about an unused ASIO driver. A working WASAPI setup no longer shows an unavailable-ASIO warning. ASIO remains unavailable to select when it is not included in the build.
Desktop splitter downloads are now tied to the app release, so an older SingZ does not accidentally pick up a newer, incompatible pack.
