Button mapping with G502 Hero Wired not working or assigning extra modifiers

Describe the bug
Mapping the side buttons on my mouse doesn't work. Some of the buttons map correctly, some map with the key I selected plus a seemingly random selection of modifiers, and some just don't respond at all.

Setting the keys manually with ratbagctl works just fine.

Try to configure buttons with a G502 Hero wired

Please start the daemon with verbosity and reproduce the issue.

First make sure it isn't running already.

Same issue but only for pressed key

First example work with bouton assigned

Second example fail with B button pressed but not released

Associated button with key instead of macro sent ALT+KEY_B combination instead of KEY_B in application

Same issue with my G502 X Wireless.

Same thing here - G502, tried to remap the thumb buttons - regardless what I do in the control panel - they still are "forward" and "back". The only way to switch mouse speed is through the Resolution panel.

I had similar issues to above. Not sure if this is still an issue for any but I found that if the mouse isn't in onboard memory mode it doesn't behave. Mode enabled via windows G HUB.

Same issue with my G305. I set the side buttons to PgUp/PgDn but it seems to be attaching the ALT modifier as well so it sends Alt+PgUp / Alt+PgDn
