While working on a nixos config for my RPI CM3 handheld, I was looking for a way to set up the WIFI on the handheld using the gamepad. I've tried to use the nmcli driver, but it was too buggy to be usable out of the box (now fixed). Then I saw that retroarch have another wifi driver using connmanctl. Unfortunately, that driver is behind a HAVE_LAKKA pragma, so not available on a general Linux distribution.
connmanctl is available on most distros I'm aware of. I don't see any reason to make it available to LAKKA users only. If it's working well enough for LAKKA users, then it should also be good enough for Linux users.
