2.0.6
Features
- Tabs: auto-hide the bookmark bar — show it only while the mouse is over the omnibox row or the bar itself, with a configurable hide delay. Turning the feature off restores the bar.
- Tabs: open dropped links in a background tab — dropping a link on the page content opens it next to the current tab and leaves the current page focused, instead of navigating in place.
- Web: confirm settings saves with a toast — every toggle, input and dropdown now reports success or failure. Also fixes
@blur/@changehandlers passing the DOM event asforceRecheck, which silently reset the update state and re-checked on every blur.
Bug Fixes
- keep the config page tab bar pinned while the page scrolls, so the active section stays reachable.
- hide the "excluded tab names" and delay inputs unless their owning switch is on.
2.0.5
Features
- Config: add cache directory config and consolidate ChromeGreen data files #1
Support cg_data_dir custom data directory (defaults to cache dir, supports relative/absolute paths),

ChromeGreenData subfolder.
Bug Fixes
- clear desktop shortcut tooltip description.
2.0.4
Features
- Taskbar: add experimental "fix taskbar context menu" toggle (on by default, in Other settings) — registers localized jump-list tasks (New window / Incognito / Recently opened tabs); when off, a portable Chrome pinned by any method shows only "Unpin"
- Updater: install a local Omaha update package placed in
updates/from the config page; complete a pending file swap on restart when chrome.exe is in use
Bug Fixes
- Hotkey: heal the stale per-app mute left behind when Chrome exits while hidden via the boss key — match processes by full image path, walk all render endpoints, and add a mute flag file with startup self-heal
- Updater: allow downgrade when switching release channels
- Config page: send
Cache-Control: no-cacheso the page always reflects the latest DLL — no more Ctrl+F5 after updating
