Install
Windows - run LightchainChat-Setup-0.1.0.exe. It installs for your user (no administrator rights), and adds Start-menu and desktop shortcuts and an uninstaller in Apps & features.
macOS - open the .dmg and drag Lightchain Chat into Applications, then open it from Launchpad or Spotlight.
First launch
This beta is not yet code-signed, so each system asks once:
- Windows: "Windows protected your PC" → More info → Run anyway.
- macOS: if it says the app can't be opened, go to System Settings → Privacy & Security and click Open Anyway.
Good to know
- On first start the app creates a wallet and shows a twelve-word recovery phrase. Write it down - nobody can recover it for you.
- Asking a model needs LCAI: receive some into the wallet, then top up your AI credit from the Account page.
- This is a beta. Report any problem you meet, and do not hold more in it than you are prepared to lose.
- Updates are not automatic yet; new versions are downloaded from here.
