The second beta of Lightchain Chat. It fixes paid questions, which failed for everyone on 0.1.0, and improves the Models chat.

If you are on 0.1.0, please update. In 0.1.0 every question to a model failed with "the frame carried no signature" after the fee was taken.

Updates are not automatic yet. Quit the app, then install 0.1.1 over it:

Windows - run LightchainChat-Setup-0.1.1.exe.
macOS - open the .dmg and drag Lightchain Chat into Applications, replacing the old one.

Your wallet, conversations and settings are kept. Keep your twelve-word recovery phrase safe all the same.

Questions to models are answered again. Every paid question failed with "the frame carried no signature" after the fee was taken. The network's workers had changed how they send answers and the app rejected the new format.
For Workers no longer says Docker is missing when it is running. Opened from the Finder or the Dock on a Mac, the app looked for Docker, Ollama and Foundry only in the system's own folders.
A model's reasoning no longer ends up inside its answer.
Testnet models can be reached again.

Formatted answers on the Models page: headings, lists, links, and code blocks with a Copy button. Every answer can be copied whole.
Live status while you wait: the answer's bubble says what is happening and for how long. For models that reason first, the reasoning streams into a section that folds away when the answer starts.
A question box that takes several lines: Enter sends, Shift+Enter starts a new line.
Resizable panes: drag the edge of the sidebar, the model list or the people panel, or the line between Conversations and Elsewhere. Double-click to reset.
Models that can answer are listed above those with no workers.
The notices at the top of the window take a line each, and the BETA notice links to Discord.

An answer that arrives without the worker's signature is shown with an unverified tag instead of being discarded. An answer signed by anyone other than the assigned worker is still refused.

This beta is not yet code-signed, so each system asks once:

Windows: "Windows protected your PC" → More info → Run anyway.
macOS: if it says the app can't be opened, go to System Settings → Privacy & Security and click Open Anyway.

Asking a model needs LCAI: receive some into the wallet, then top up your AI credit from the Account page.
This is a beta. Report any problem on Discord, and do not hold more in it than you are prepared to lose.
