This is an idea that I have from the early days of Lampo. I was planning to use the nice backporting rule of rust-lightning to have an LTS lightning node version that will be friendly for a node operator or company that wants to run a lightning node, but just be sure that we got the security update and not a breaking change that just makes the API nicer or ships a feature that the operator is not using.
Do we want to start a discussion about this on the LDK server, since that should be fairly simple when we have the lightning network logic outside of the full/server node that already does a fairly good job in backporting changes?
