Internal Terms
client Partner Platform. The customer of a Partner, as in the feature Client Trends. See customer.
customer A company that has an agreement with Return Path for one or more solutions, either standalone or as a suite. Do not use client in this sense as it has a separate meaning for Partner Platform.
resold An account acquired through a partner. The resold account is considered a child account to the partner, which functions as a parent account. Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Zeta, and Cheetah are examples of ESP partners that resell Return Path to their customers. Do not use this term externally; instead, say “accounts that purchased their subscription through a partner.”
signed-in user Help Center. A customer who has signed into the Help Center through Return Path Platform, Partner Platform, or another solution. Customers with resold accounts may be required to use single sign on via a skinned platform or solution.
Verizon Media Formerly Oath. The umbrella group for Yahoo! and AOL. Do not use Oath, Verizon Media Group, or VMG.
