Ling Stack 0.1.2-alpha.1 - macOS and Windows

Both platforms are available in this single Alpha development prerelease, pinned to source commit dfb61aca41dfb1ab9e91df028debb2c5f732c433. This is a maintainer-authorized testing handoff, not a stable or formally accepted binary release.

Use SHA256SUMS.txt to verify the complete shared asset set. The matching source archive, per-platform notices/SBOM materials, source provenance and verification reports are also attached. This release does not provide an Intel Mac, Windows ARM or Linux installer.

Included Changes

  • Verified production dependency upgrades and OfficeParser 8 compatibility from PR #537, including diff 9.0.0, docx 9.9.0 and OfficeParser 8.1.1.
  • Electron 44.7.0; all seven retained dependency security patches remain in the fixed source and generated application.
  • Windows uses the reviewed notices-r2 installer recipe. WinShell, SpiderBanner and nsis7z remain excluded; required retained installer notices and corresponding source accompany the installer.
  • Mac was rebuilt locally from a clean frozen dependency installation. Foreign-platform optional Canvas binaries from the previous local dependency cache are not part of the published Mac candidate.

Verification

The attached Mac report records the standard packaging entry, unchanged native source-review prerequisites, strict/deep ad-hoc signature checks, DMG/ZIP integrity, equality of the App contents across archives, packaged-manifest notice coverage, notice/patch hashes, SPDX 2.3 schema/references and all 55 packaged language catalogs. The final isolated client startup, native settings/model-workbench navigation, appearance/language changes and normal quit/restart results are recorded separately in the Mac smoke report. These are bounded checks, not full product acceptance.

Windows reuses the exact installer and materials documented by PR #543; its installer was not cross-built on the Mac. All 10 transferred assets were independently matched to their original GitHub SHA-256 digests and sizes, with matching source/lockfile provenance. Existing Windows packaging/extraction and dependency/OfficeParser regression results retain their original scope. The Windows ESM harness adjustment is recorded in the original report; it is not presented as a pass of the unmodified stock Windows command.

Known Limits

  • Mac has an ad-hoc signature, not Developer ID or notarization. Windows is not Authenticode-signed. Gatekeeper, SmartScreen and clean-machine distribution acceptance are not established. Do not disable system security protections to make an acceptance check pass.
  • Canvas 0.1.80 supplier binary/source correspondence, linked Cargo/MPL source and vendor compiler/Skia identity remain unresolved. Conservative supplier-source references and known notice texts are retained; they are not a complete verified runtime SBOM or formal source-compliance clearance.
  • Fresh Windows installation, upgrade, real-model tasks, UI, native Office interoperability, Computer Use, reboot, uninstall and Windows 10/clean-machine acceptance were not run for this installer.
  • Mac real-model tasks, native Office interoperability, Computer Use, clean-machine installation/update/uninstall, all-language UI/restart and multi-agent acceptance are not established by the limited smoke checks.
  • Hosted product CI is paused; local checks do not imply an online CI pass. E6/PR #533 is not included.
  • No model credentials, local databases or user configuration are embedded. Testing uses an isolated Mac profile and does not replace the locally installed App.

Public visibility of this Alpha testing release does not close the outstanding licensing, signing or platform gates. Verification reports retain releaseReady=false. The previous separate Mac/Windows prereleases remain historical and unchanged.
