Crisis Connect is an open-source, offline-first emergency communication project designed to help people stay connected when internet or cellular infrastructure is unavailable.
The project enables nearby devices to communicate directly and is being developed as a resilient fallback communication layer for disasters and other connectivity-loss scenarios.
Project highlights:
Open-source and actively maintained
Available on Android and iOS
Offline-first peer-to-peer communication
Designed for disaster resilience and emergency communication
Supports multilingual use cases
Developed with a focus on real-world deployment and interoperability with emergency-management workflows

Website:

The broader motivation and disaster-resilience use case behind the project has also been discussed on UNDRR's PreventionWeb:

I would be glad to see Crisis Connect included in LFX Insights so its open-source development activity, community growth, and project health can be tracked alongside other open-source projects.
Thank you for considering it.
