Opening links on new tabs with "Ctrl - P1 mouse button" is a common UI in browsers and therefore feels instinctively correct for opening new tabs in file managers as well. Dolphin has already implemented this. Hereby a request to implement this by default for Nemo for the folders that are listed in the sidebar on the left, as well as opening new windows of folders by pressing "Shift- P1 mouse button" in that same sidebar.
Additionally, when Nemo is set to open folders upon double-click (not single-click), that then in the main window pressing "Ctrl + double click P1 mouse button" on a folder would lead to the folder opening in a new tab. Nemo has already implemented this for "Shift + double click P1 mouse button" --> open folder in new window. When Nemo is set to open folders on single click, this UI may not work because Ctrl and Shift may then be used for selecting multiple folders.
Also a question: is there a possibility for me to enable these behaviours manually at the moment?
